What is Rocks with Wishes?
What is Rocks with Wishes?
During the throes of Covid and a major upheaval in my life, I started painting rocks as a way to meditate and heal.
Randomly, I started leaving them on sidewalks and streetcorners. I began noticing them disappearing, and quickly became transfixed with the idea that strangers were picking up my art.
I truly believe each little rock I leave behind has its own little mission, and I'm grateful to play a small part in helping the Universe deliver the messages people need to hear.

Yes! I love giving back to my community in this way.
Yes! And I'm hoping to meet more one day. I love imagining the stories of synchronicity for the people who find them.
I only recently began signing each rock. For the longest time (and for the majority of the rocks I've created to date), I have deliberately chosen to remain anonymous. I always felt like it added to the magic, but over time I've realized that this I've been cutting myself off from the community of people who might enjoy finding me and following my journey.
If you find one of my rocks today, you may notice a very small stamp with "rocks with wishes" or "RWW" somewhere on the back. It is very subltle and often hard to read, but it's a start. I am embracing the idea of being seen more, and would love to connect more with the community who has enjoyed my art.
One of the things I love most about this hobby is that rocks are literally everywhere. I primarily use acrylic paints, ARTISTRO paint pens, Sharpies, and Liquitex varnish as a protective finish.
